Common questions

Before you write, the answer might already be here.

How much does a typical AI project cost?

It depends on scope. A focused automation project (one classifier, one integration) usually runs between £8,000 and £20,000. Larger engagements involving multiple models, retraining pipelines and ongoing support sit in the £30,000-£75,000 range. We always provide a fixed-price quote after the discovery audit so there are no surprises.

Do we need to give you access to our internal systems?

For the discovery audit, read-only access to relevant data sources is enough. During the build phase, we typically work in an isolated staging environment. Production deployment can happen through your own DevOps team if you prefer; we provide container images and deployment scripts.

What if our data is messy or incomplete?

Most data is. That is exactly why the first step is a data strategy review. We will tell you which gaps matter and which ones do not. Sometimes a few hundred well-labelled examples are enough to train a useful model. Other times we need to set up a labelling workflow first. Either way, we will give you a realistic timeline.

Can you work with our existing tech stack?

Yes. We have deployed models into environments running on AWS, Azure and GCP, as well as on-premise Linux servers. Our APIs are framework-agnostic: if your backend can make an HTTP request, it can call our models. We also integrate with common tools like Slack, Microsoft Teams, Jira and Salesforce.

How long before we see results?

The discovery audit takes two days. After that, a first working prototype is usually ready in two to three weeks. Full production deployment, including monitoring and documentation, typically takes six to ten weeks from project kick-off. We share progress demos every Friday so you are never guessing.

What happens after you contact us

Here is the short version: you write or call, we reply within one working day, and we schedule a free 30-minute video call to discuss your situation. There is no obligation after that call.

During the call, we will ask about the problem you want to solve, the data you have available, your current tech stack and your rough budget range. We will be honest about whether AI is the right approach. Sometimes a simpler rule-based system or a well-designed spreadsheet does the job better and costs a fraction of what a machine-learning pipeline would.

If AI does make sense, we will propose a discovery audit. That is a paid engagement (usually £2,500 for two days) where we dig into your data, interview key team members and produce a written report with specific recommendations, timelines and cost estimates. About 85% of our discovery audits lead to a full project, but the report is yours to keep regardless.

We work with companies of all sizes, from ten-person startups to established firms with several hundred employees. The common thread is that our clients have a concrete operational problem and enough data to make AI practical. If you are not sure whether that describes your situation, just ask. The initial call is free and we will tell you straight.
